HENRY LLOYD III (Henry Jr.,Henry Sr., David) HENRY LLOYD III, b. Dec. 18, 1794 in Cambria County, Pa. Died Aug. 8, 1868 age 73 yrs, 8 mo. Buried East Ridge, or Dry Ridge cemetery, Westover, Pa. (a) Married JANE E. FORSHEE (Focia, Forcier) Jane b. 1797 in Cambria County, Pa., probably the daughter of SOLOMON FORSHEE who was in Huntingdon Co. in 1790. Cambri a Co., in 1810. Jane d. 1874. Buried same place, near Westover. Grave marker says only, Jane Lloyd 1797-1874. (a) Henry and Jane lived in Cambria County for 50 years, arriving at Plottsville about 1818. A story survives to the effec t that Henry's father objected to his courtship of Jane Forshee and offered Henry $100.00 and a horse and buggy to giv e her up. Henry accepted the offer, took the $100.00, animal and vehicle, left his father, married Jane and presumabl y arrived in Plottsville in 1817 or 1818. Henry and Jane had 14 children, 77 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildre n at about 1837, (tho this last is tobe questioned). (RJM) They had 2 sets of twins, their son WILLIAM had 2 sets, an d four of their daughters had twins! There were other twins later on in this branch of the family. The Henry Lloyd Bible was owned for a time by his son ABNER, and later by Abner's daughter TENNESSEE from whom the reco rds of Henry's son Abner and William were taken about 1931. This old Bible burned with the old Abner homestead prior t o 1940. This Bible is the source of their family records as well as those of sons Abner and William Lloyd. Most of He nry's and Abner's family and William's wife, MARGARET BURKHART whose grave has been lost, are buried in East Ridge ceme tery near Westover, Pa. ISSUE URIAH LLOYD b.
