Heyer, Janice Ellen Mrs. Brownie (Nee Stiehm) Age 82, of Summit, WI, died peacefully Dec 21, 2016 at Angels Grace Hospi ce in Oconomowoc. She fought a courageous 32 year battle with diabetes and its complications. Born Nov 10, 1934, daught er of Oliver Stiehm and Georgia Burton Stiehm. Grew up in Bay View, was a Girl Scout, graduated from Girls Tech. Belove d wife of the late Dale "Brownie" Heyer for 49 years, she was a longtime resident of Cudahy. Mom was proud to be a home maker, raising 3 kids. She was a talented crafter, winning awards in rosemalling, quilting, and sewing. She also enjoye d painting with acrylics and watercolors, knitting & crocheting, and more. Our homes are decorated with many of her wor ks! For a few years, mom helped Dad in the office of his auto repair business, Cudahy Service Center. Then she cared fo r him while he battled cancer until he died in 2001. Mom of Dave (Kim) Heyer, Barb (Bob) Townsend, Diane Dowland. Grand ma of Travis, Alex, and Alyssa Heyer, Andy Townsend. Great-Grandma of Amara Heyer. Sister of Beverly Wenta, CA, and Joa n Hill, Sussex. Stepsister of Janie (Stiehm) Klueber, AK. Special friend of Myrl Koehler for 62 years! Mom lived at Hil lside Woods Senior Apts in Delafield for most of her last 3 years and she enjoyed playing games with her friends there . Celebration of life Saturday January 21, 11AM - 2PM, Hillside Woods Senior Apts, 3280 Hillside Dr, Delafield. Buildin g is on left. Luncheon 11AM - 12:30PM followed by sharing of memories. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated in mom 's name to Angels Grace Hospice, N74W35908 Servants' Way, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.
