ANN LLOYD HART SMALLWOOD (Henry Sr., David) ANNE LOYD (Lloyd) b. Died Feb. 24,1814 of Typhus Fever while in the home of her son THOMAS HART III. (a) Married (1) THOMAS HART Jr., date unknown. He was the son of Thomas Sr. and wife ANN, also called "Nancy". (b) Thoma s Jr. and Anne lived east of JAMES LOYD, and he lived just east of HENRY Sr. James was the son of JOHN LOYD (Lloyd) wh o lived in what isnow Orange Co., Va. and so far as we know was not related to Henry Sr. Married (2) GEORGE SMALLWOOD whose land was in the same area. George S. made a deed of gift of a negro woman and her f our children, who had belonged to Anne Hart Smallwood. This was done after the death of Anne in 1814. (c) This docume nt reads as follows: "My late wife was the widow of Thomas Hart, deceased, who at the time of her death, lived apart fr om me and had in her possession a negro woman called "Dinah" and her four children, which negroes perhaps by law now belong to me as I do not wish to concern with same, I am desirous that they descend an d go to such of Ann's children as if she had been a single woman at the time of her death, said Ann's child was marrie d to JOHN DANIELSwho married one of said Ann's children, now all my right and title is conveyed in said Dinah." (c) George Smallwood deceased by 1817 (j). THOMAS HART Jr. left a will dated Jan. 11. 1795 and proved Jan. 20, 1795. (d) This instrument names Ann as his wife. T his is no doubt the Ann, daughter of Henry Sr. who was mentioned in the latter's estate settlement papers in Huntingdo n Co. Pa., as married to GEORGE SMALLWOOD. The executors o£ this will were his wife Ann, brother-in-law DANIEL VAN MET ER, and MASON BENNETT. He gave the farm, now called J. Hendricks Daniels Farm, to his wife for her lifetime unless sh e married again, when she should getone third, subject to maintenance, support and education of their children, - whic h suggests that they were young. They were not named. Final appraisement of the estate of Thomas Hart Jr., March 30, 1814.(e) Inventory of goods sold by JOHN DANIELS, admr. March 31, 1814 at public sale.(e) Final accounting of the estate of Thomas Hart deceased. This shows $10.00 spent for coffin for Thomas, also "to cash p aid JAMES SHEPPARD his account for coffin of CATHARINE HART, one of the family of the deceased, $10.00. Was she a daug hter? In cash paid D, VAN METER, executor of Thomas Hart Jr. on account of rents due from the estate.......$60.00.(e) By JOSEPH & MARGARET ROBINSON'S portion of the proceeds of the sale of the land of Thomas Hart Jr. sold by his executor , Daniel Van Meter, which portion the intestate he purchased, being one sixth of the whole amount of the sale, $1427.50 . Balance in favor of the estate $2227.28 1/2 (e). ISSUE of ANN LLOYD & ThOMAS HART Jr. MARGARET HART, m. to JOSEPH ROBINSON. Surety bond, June 13, 1798 and signed by Thomas Hart Sr. (f) ELIZABETH HART married to ______ HAM. ANNE (Nancy) HART m. DAVID AUGUSTUS. Surety Bond May 14, 1798 signed bv DANIEL VAN METER, (f) A "Nancy" Augustus was named in her grandfather's will - probably Anne daughter of THOMAS HART Jr. SARAH HART, m. March 7, 1807 JOHN DANIELS Jr.(a) She d. March 7, 1814, a victim of an epidemic of Typhus in the Hart ho me. (a) THOMAS HART III. who d. Jan. 30, 1814 of Typhus which he had contracted on the way home from selling wheat in Baltimore , Md. He had stopped at an inn.(a) ESTHER or HESTER HART, probably the "Hetty" named in her grandfather's will along with the other children of his deceas ed son THOMAS. Hester d. Mar. 8, 1814 also of Typhus.(a) These deaths were taken from the Family Bible of John Daniels Jr. owned by WILLIAM C. DANIELS, son of .WILLIAM B. of Sh enandoah Junction, Jefferson Co., W. Va.
