Teunis den Dekker’s  younger brother Willem den Dekker was born 26 October 1871 in Gorinchem, South Holland, Netherland s. Willem den Dekker at the age of 34 years old married Margje Grietje den Boer age 38 years old   Margje was born on 19 March 1868 in Alblasserdam, South Holland, Netherlands.  Margje was the daughter of Jacob and  Kl aasje Maria (Verbeek) den Boer. Willem and Margje were married on Wednesday, 4 April 1906 in Rotterdam, South Holland , Netherlands.   In 1907 Willem and Margje (den Boer) den Dekker had a son. In keeping with the Dutch naming tradition Willem and Margje named their first born son Willem den Dekker. Willem was named after his paternal grandfather Willem den Dekker who was the son of Willem and Pieternella Adriana (Ee uwijk) den Dekker. Willem den Dekker was born on Tuesday, 23 July 1907 in Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands. Willem den Dekker grew into manhood and at the age of 20 years old he married Johanna van Driel age 22 on Wednesday , 4 July 1928 in Rotterdam, South Holland, Netherlands. Johanna van Driel was born in Barendrecht, Netherlands and she was the daughter of Jan and Johanna (Klokkenburg) van Dr iel.   In 1929, Willem and Johanna den Dekker had a son. Willem and Johanna also kept with the Dutch tradition of naming their first born son after his paternal grandfather. The son died 3hree years later on Saturday, 30 July 1932.    My great grandfather Teunis den Dekker’s only brother Willem den Dekker remained living in The Netherlands after Teuni s immigrated to America in 1897.  The widowed Teunis den Dekker traveled back to The Netherlands by ship in 1929 to vis it his brother Willem along with other family members in the den Dekker family and in his wife Johanna Adriana (van Baa rdewijk’s) family.     Whether the Willem den Dekker family perished in the aerial bombardment of 14 May1940 in the city of Rotterdam by the L uftwaffe (German air force) if they were still living in Rotterdam after 1932.  Many of the 900 Dutch victims from thi s bombing were placed in unmarked mass graves by the Nazi soldiers without funerals. 85,000 people were left homeless i n Rotterdam after the bombing
