Fredericka Faber was born on May 16, 1835 to Ferdinand Faber and Anna Kersten Faber in Germany. She married Daniel Nehm er in Germany and immigrated to America with her husband and three of her children. The Nehmers joined their daughter Louise and son William in Lake Mills, Jefferson County, WI. Louise and William had im migrated a year earlier. She served as a mid-wife for her daughter Louise at the births of her six children. After the death of her husband Daniel in 1897, she lived with her daughter Auguste and her husband Herman Tews on thei r farm near Hubbleton, Juneau Co., WI. She was ill for five years preceeding her death in 1925 and died in Shields Township, Dodge Co, WI and was buried on th e Tews family plot in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, WI.
